External Quality Assessment (EQA) is a systematic process that evaluates and monitors the performance of laboratories or clinical research centers by external entities. It is an essential component of quality assurance in healthcare and research settings, ensuring accuracy and reliability of laboratory results and data generated.
The IAVI Africa Laboratory Program has established an EQA website specifically designed to monitor the EQA performance of IAVI partnered Clinical Research Centers (CRCs) within East Africa and Southern Africa. This website serves as a platform to monitor and improve the performance of EQA conducted in these centers.
The primary objective of the IAVI Africa Laboratory Program EQA website is to provide a standardized and efficient mechanism for evaluating the analytical performance of participating laboratories. It allows laboratories to compare their performance against predefined criteria and benchmarks, as well as to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
